This page features a selection from my favorite weddings over the past few years and some of them were in my beautiful home state of Vermont. I enjoy editorial and fine art wedding photography but I also love the documentary and natural style and Becca and Levi's Northern Vermont country wedding is an example of how I photograph a photojournalistic or documentary style wedding. The Vermont countryside was spectacular for their ceremony on the crest of a hill with a million dollar view across the hills and their reception was in a large tented venue below. Vermont really does have it all when it comes to wedding venues and locations from the romantic splendor of The Woodstock Inn, to the amazing gardens at Hildene and Shelbourne Farms to the typical rustic Vermont barn so many venues have.
As well as the documentary style wedding another of my favorite Vermont weddings was Pamela and Matthew's wedding at Rutland Country Club, more in the magazine editorial style. There are also a lot of natural photographs mixed in with the editorial ones so the wedding couple received a great mix of photos for their wedding album.
Vermont really does offer the best of both worlds for wedding couples looking for that perfect venue or elopement location and I am happy to talk with you, from a photographer's point of view about some of my favorites.
Upstate New York Wedding Photography
There are never any travel expenses when I photograph weddings in Upstate New York as I live very close to the New York border and photograph a lot of weddings there from Albany to Saratoga Springs, Lake George and Glens Falls. There are so many amazing wedding venues from the Saratoga Springs Golf and Polo Club to the Hall of Springs in the beautiful state park, the glamorous Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls,The Mansion at Cedar Hill near Albany and the Pavillon Grand Hotel just to name a few. In fact last year I photographed almost as many fabulous weddings in New York as I did in Vermont.
Upstate New York weddings have a different style than the Vermont country barn weddings, elegant ballrooms with sparkling chandeliers, up-lights, city streets and wonderful architecture to the manicured lawns of Saratoga Sate Park and Albany Park. These venues and wedding locations tend to lend themselves to my editorial style of wedding photography. Magazine worthy images, some styled wedding shots and couple's romance photography sessions to die for.
I love Vermont but I also love New York and feel very fortunate to have the best of both worlds when it comes to my wedding photography business.
New Hampshire Wedding Photographers
New Hampshire offers so many varied wedding locations from the quintessential rustic farm house to one of my favorite wedding venues in the state Searles Castle. The scenery is as varied as it comes with beachfront weddings in Hampton, to the medieval feel of the castle, Dover Landing and The Hanover Inn all make for wonderful wedding venues with so many different and unique photo opportunities. Once again there are no travel expenses for your New Hampshire wedding and I also photograph a number of beautiful weddings there every year.
Massachusetts Wedding Photographers
My goodness where to begin? There are so many fantastic wedding venues throughout Massachusetts and once again there are no travel expenses for my Massachusetts wedding photography. Boston has so many spectacular wedding venues, parks and city streets with contemporary modern architecture to the historic old town...what an amazing backdrop for your wedding photos. Engagement sessions in Boston are also fun and we could spend an entire day and not begin to cover every photo location. Cape Cod romantic weddings on the beach or by the bay, Gloucester with the Cruiseport and Beauport Hotel, both perfect wedding venues, in fact I have photographed several weddings at The Cruiseprot Gloucester and the staff and wedding planners are a gem to work with. Danversport Yacht Club is also a favorite wedding venue as is The State House in downtown Boston.
Then there is the romance of Tanglewood! What a perfect wedding venue for an outdoor summer wedding in Massachusetts or how about Alden Castle in Brookline? The venue list is endless!
