Quintessential Vermont Wedding at The Old Gray Barn

Amiline and Philip's Wedding in Dorset, Vermont

Tucked into a hillside overlooking the pristine meadows of the Mettowee Valley, The Old Gray Barn has the ideal Vermont rustic charm. It is a truly special place in an area of natural beauty fit for the most luxurious or relaxed of celebrations.

The bridal room is lavishly decorated and perfect for capturing those "wow" getting ready photos.  The wagon, pulled by two handsome percheron horses was an excellent way to transport guests and the wedding party from the barn to the ceremony site.

I photographed Amiline and Philip's wedding with the emphasis, per their request, on the more editorial style. However, I am always looking for those candid, decisive moments throughout the day as well. They are a delightful couple and Amiline had a hilarious surprise for Philip for the first look. She did not want him to see her until she walked down the aisle, so she bought another very large wedding dress and asked the best man to take her place. He obliged and as you can see, it was quite a laugh!

Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.
