A Wedding Awaits

Reposting with Joy: Discover “A Wedding Awaits” – Your Dream Vermont, Upstate New York, or New Hampshire Elopement Starts Here!

I’m so excited to re-share this blog about an incredible, all-inclusive elopement and small wedding planning servicedesigned for couples dreaming of an intimate, stress-free celebration in Vermont, Upstate New York, or New Hampshire.

Introducing “A Wedding Awaits”—a boutique-style, affordable elopement planning service starting at just $1500, (photography only from $750) and scaling beautifully to whatever your hearts desire. Whether you envision a charming garden elopement or a mountaintop ceremony at sunset, this is your wedding, your way.

What’s Included in "A Wedding Awaits"?

This personalized elopement service includes:

  • A licensed officiant

  • A professional wedding photographer (that’s me!)

  • A custom bridal bouquet and boutonniere

  • And a curated list of magical extras:

    • Secret venues and enchanted gardens

    • Chamber musicians and breathtaking ceremony locations

    • Farm-to-table catering and cozy romantic retreats

Whether your style is rustic, elegant, bohemian, or bold, "A Wedding Awaits" brings your intimate wedding vision to life—without the overwhelm of planning and coordinating vendors, venues, or accommodations.

Meet the Expert Behind It All

This dream service is the brainchild of Annie Alexander-Kramer, the creative force behind The Parsonne – Vermont Wedding Officiant. With over 20 years of officiating weddings in Vermont, Annie knows all the best venues, local vendors, and scenic hideaways.

She’s your go-to resource for:

  • Legal license info and marriage paperwork

  • Sourcing and coordinating vendors

  • Venue recommendations—from romantic inns and B&Bs to her own beautiful home and my gardens here at Featherstone

  • Customizing the perfect small wedding or elopement experience

Why I Love Photographing Elopements

There’s something so magical about elopement photography—the intimacy, the emotion, the freedom. That’s why starting in 2026 and 2027, I’ll be focusing more on Vermont elopements and small weddings, limiting myself to just two large weddings per month.

Elopements give us time to create those editorial-worthy photos and capture the unscripted, deeply personal moments that matter most. You can still:

  • Do a dreamy first look

  • Rock a designer gown or badass leather jacket

  • Ride a gondola to the top of Killington or Okemo for a “wedding on top of the world”

  • Say “I do” under a waterfall, by candlelight, or barefoot in a wildflower meadow

Stress-Free + Photo-Ready = Perfection

One of my favorite recent elopements was Kaci & Bobby’s intimate wedding in Ludlow. Even when rain surprised us, we had the freedom to work around the weather and still capture stunning, heartfelt images—because smaller weddings allow for flexibility, calm, and creative space.

With elopements, we’re not rushed. We can plan for golden hour. We can travel to two (or more!) gorgeous locations for portraits. And most importantly, you get to soak in the love and connection that brought you to this day.

Another fun elopement that Annie and I worked on together was Joanna and Kyle's family elopement at On The River Inn in Woodstock, Vermont. Here are a couple photos from their romantic wedding:

Small weddings and elopements are becoming more and more popular as couples want a more intimate and stress free wedding day. Whether it is just the two of you or a larger family affair, we can make sure it all goes like clockwork and I can promise we will get some amazing wedding photographs as well.
