Jessica and Kevin’s wedding at The State Room in Albany, New York was a beautiful blend of elegance, energy, and heartfelt moments. Set against the backdrop of the city skyline, their day unfolded with a natural, story-driven flow—capturing both the refined atmosphere of this iconic Albany wedding venue and the genuine connection they share. From the anticipation of the early moments to the celebration that followed, their State Room wedding was the perfect balance of timeless style and authentic emotion.
Months before their celebration at The State Room, Jessica and Kevin were married in a beautiful, intimate ceremony at the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God. This historic Albany church, known for its rich architectural detail and deeply rooted sense of tradition, offered a serene and reverent setting for their vows. With its ornate interior, warm light filtering through stained glass, and a quiet sense of sacred presence, the space felt both timeless and deeply personal. Surrounded by close family, Jessica and Kevin’s ceremony was heartfelt and intentional—an intimate beginning to the larger celebration that would follow months later in downtown Albany.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and the wedding party stepped outside into the church’s garden path, where we captured a few quiet, joy-filled portraits surrounded by greenery and soft natural light. It was a peaceful moment to pause and take it all in before they continued on to a private brunch, celebrating the beginning of their marriage in a more intimate, relaxed way.
Jessica and Kevin began their big day getting ready at the Hilton Albany, right in the heart of downtown Albany. With sweeping views of the Albany skyline just outside their windows, the setting felt both elevated and intimate. A soft rain fell throughout the morning, adding a romantic, cinematic mood to the day and bringing a quiet calm to those early moments. Inside the hotel, anticipation built as they prepared for their State Room wedding, surrounded by the energy of the city and the warmth of close family and friends.
lthough rain threatened throughout the day, Jessica and Kevin embraced the moment, and we found a perfect window to step out for wedding party portraits around the New York State Capitol and the nearby Empire State Plaza (Rockefeller Empire State Plaza). The soft, overcast light added a romantic, cinematic feel to the images, beautifully complementing the city’s grand architecture.
Tom, the owner of The State Room, graciously chauffeured the bride and groom between locations in his stunning black vintage Cadillac—an elegant touch that made the experience feel even more special. Since their ceremony had taken place months earlier, we had nearly 90 relaxed minutes to explore these iconic Albany locations and capture a mix of refined editorial portraits and candid moments before heading back for their reception at The State Room.
After their Albany photo session, everyone made their way back to The State Room for an unforgettable reception celebration. The evening came to life with the energy of The Funk Evolution, whose lively performance kept the dance floor full from the very first song. Heartfelt toasts, a beautifully served dinner, and the joy of friends and family filled the space, creating an atmosphere that was both elegant and vibrant. As the night unfolded, Jessica and Kevin’s celebration became a true reflection of their story—warm, spirited, and full of unforgettable moments.
Jessica and Kevin’s celebration at The State Room was the continuation of a story that had already begun months earlier, on their wedding day at the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Albany. With their ceremony shared in a quiet, meaningful way, this day felt lighter—more about being together, celebrating, and soaking it all in with the people they love most.
Despite the rain, the day unfolded beautifully. From getting ready with views over the Albany skyline, to wandering the city for portraits, to an evening filled with music, laughter, and a packed dance floor—everything felt relaxed, joyful, and completely true to them. It was one of those celebrations where nothing had to be rushed… just experienced.
