Elopement in the California Desert

This was a fantastic elopement to photograph and what a great way to escape the "mud season" in Vermont!

Erin and Jake decided to elope and invite only Jake's sister and Erin's best friend for their wedding in Palm Springs, California. Jake is a filmmaker and the couple are from NYC and I was thrilled when they hired me to be their photographer.

"We'd hired Sally before for some commercial film stills, so we knew we were getting a gem when she agreed to photograph our destination elopement. She has the experience to handle any situation with an artistic flare, friendly personality and professionalism and the almost 100 degree heat did not stop her from hiking over a mile into to the desert with her equipment. The afternoon sun was brutal, no shade and she got the most A M A Z I N G photos! We were just so excited when we viewed them, not one was "meh", every single one was just beautiful. She captured the personalities of everyone, the love, the fun and even when she was accidentally sprayed with champagne, she just laughed it off. We will be hiring Sally a lot more in the future and I highly recommend her. She is not just the best in Vermont, but we feel her standard is among the best in NYC where we live and work...". __ Erin J
