Rustic Romance: A Heartfelt Country Wedding Captured in Candid, Storytelling Style
Honest, Heartfelt Wedding Photography That Tells Your Story
If you’re drawn to real, unscripted moments and the natural beauty of your wedding day as it truly unfolds, you’re in the right place. My approach is often called documentary wedding photography—also known as reportage or photojournalistic wedding photography—but at its core, it’s simply about capturing genuine emotions in an unobtrusive, thoughtful way.
Throughout your wedding day, I’ll be quietly observing and photographing everything as it happens—without staging, interrupting, or directing. My focus is on preserving the true story of your celebration: the nervous excitement before the ceremony, the joyful walk back up the aisle, the tearful toasts, the wild dance floor energy, and the subtle, tender in-between moments you may not even notice until you see your gallery.
From elegant estates in Vermont to cozy barns in New Hampshire and stylish venues in Upstate New York, the weddings I photograph are full of atmosphere and heart. Each one is entirely unique—and that’s exactly what my photography honors. With a documentary approach, the photos themselves speak for the moment. You’ll be able to relive not only how everything looked, but exactly how it felt.
Of course, I still make time for meaningful family portraits and a few signature editorial-style couple shots, if you’d like them. But for the most part, you’re free to fully immerse yourself in the experience, knowing your memories are being captured with honesty, artistry, and care.
I fall in love with every couple I photograph—and by the time your wedding arrives, I’m just as excited as you are. It’s a deep honor to document these once-in-a-lifetime moments. To me, this isn’t just wedding photography—it’s a visual love story. A true documentary of your day, your people, your joy.
Let’s capture something real, together.
