All sessions allow for wardrobe and location changes. They are fun and comfortable and usually carried out in the relaxed environment of "Featherstone" in Woodstock, Vermont or your own home or place of choice; perhaps your favorite park, hiking trail or local landmark. My “studio” is portable and I do a lot of my portraits in natural light situations, incorporating both dramatic studio light and natural daylight whenever possible. Bring your best friend or your pet, it is about having fun, feeling relaxed and enjoying the day.
You may split a session fee with another person, but this does reduce the number of finished images you both end up with.
Above all things, I listen to my clients and discuss what they want, how they see themselves and what they might be looking for in their finished portraits.
I am flexible and love to get creative so contact me to discuss customized sessions that can be tailored to suit your specific requirements.
Engagement sessions are one of the most important things you can do to make sure your wedding photos are awesome and you are relaxed in front of the camera on your wedding day.
There are also other reasons to book an engagement photo session and here are just a few:
A PRE-INVESTMENT. This is a great way to get to know your photographer and also to invest a little to see if this person you hired will do a job you LOVE.
CONNECTION. An engagement session is the time to go device-free with your partner and connect, play, laugh and tell secrets while someone gets it all on camera. You are reconnecting with your partner and also creating a great connection with your photographer.
CONFIDENCE BOOST. Yes it’s important that you know your photographer, but if you already looked at their website and followed them on social media, you most likely know what to expect. The kicker is that they get to know you better. Do you hate you side profile or are you self conscious about your posture? Tell them so they get to know you and highlight your best and most beautiful features to boost confidence.
PHOTOS WHERE? EVERYWHERE. Wondering what you’re going to do with these images? Think: save the dates, social media posts, plastering them on the walls of your house and hanging them up at your wedding venue. You can also have a wedding guest book made up with the photos from your engagement session.
