I love natural, lifestyle photography sessions and living here in Woodstock, Vermont the locations for some amazing outdoor portraits is endless! From high school seniors to families and children, Vermont really does have some of the most beautiful landscapes and natural portrait photography opportunities.

A lot of my natural children's and high school senior portrait sessions are done at my home in Woodstock, where there are orchards, medieval statues, a stream and beautiful summer gardens for the children to explore 

Natural, lifestyle portraits are the best way to capture the personality of each child. I usually just let them check out the garden and follow along with my camera. Sometimes we will start with a "pose" and then I will just wait for that "decisive moment" whether a child is picking a flower or examining a bug, at some point the portrait session is forgotten and they are in there own little world.

Vermont outdoor portraits are even more amazing during foliage season.
