Twin Farms Winter Elopement — Blake & Nicholas in Barnard, Vermont

Set on hundreds of private acres in Barnard, Vermont, Twin Farms is one of the only Relais & Châteaux properties in New England. Known for its quiet luxury, thoughtful design, and deeply personal approach, it offers a setting that feels both exclusive and entirely unpretentious—where every detail is considered, yet nothing feels overdone.

Champagne and Firelight

Blake and Nicholas began their elopement inside Twin Farms with champagne and the warmth of the grand room. Surrounded by museum-quality artwork and the soft glow of the fire, the atmosphere felt both celebratory and quietly intimate—an unhurried beginning to the day.

Into The Snow

Stepping out into the winter landscape at Twin Farms, the quiet of freshly fallen snow transformed everything around them. Wrapped together in a Vermont Flannel blanket they had picked up earlier in Woodstock, they moved through the woods and out onto the open slope, the world feeling still and expansive. It was a natural continuation of the day—shifting from the warmth of the fire to the softness of winter light—where everything slowed and felt entirely their own.

Across the Covered Bridge | The Game Cabin

From there, the day continued across the covered bridge, the quiet of the snow carrying through each step as they made their way to the Game Cabin at Twin Farms. Inside, the atmosphere shifted once again—warm, relaxed, and quietly playful. By the pool table, the balls had been arranged to mark their date, a small, thoughtful detail that felt entirely their own. It was an effortless transition from the stillness of the landscape to a space that invited them to settle in, unwind, and simply enjoy the moment together.

From beginning to end, the day unfolded with a quiet sense of intention—each moment shaped as much by the setting as by the connection between them. At Twin Farms, an elopement becomes more than a simple exchange of vows; it becomes an experience, one that allows space to slow down, take it all in, and celebrate in a way that feels entirely your own.
