Heather and Jimmy had a lovely homestyle wedding at their farm in Orwell, Vermont where they run their business Champlain Valley Mushrooms. You can find their mushrooms at the Rutland Farmer's Market, Dorset Farmers Market, Middlebury Coop and Rutland Coop. The day could not have been more beautiful! The mood was fun and relaxed and as their wedding photographer it made a welcome change from the pressures and fast pace of a lot of our larger, formal weddings. Vermont Homestyle Weddings is actually something I want to concentrate on for 2020 and I want to specialize in these friendly, homestyle events from the planning help to the photography. I will only book one large, formal New England wedding a month and save the rest of the time for Vermont elopementsand these family homestyle weddings, whether at private homes or local wedding venues.
Heather had especially wanted to get married in the woods, on the side of a steep hill and Jimmy built some rustic benches for the wedding guests. Their dog Peter was the "ring boy", Jimmy's sister Laurel of Bloom Box Florals the florist, Heather's sisters Sarah and Melissa did her hair and make up and Heather's best friend was the officiate. The Dj was Mic from Premier Entertainment and Events , catering was Woodelly Pizza and Russell Fox was the second shooter. Russell also brought his drone for some amazing photos and video of the entire wedding party and guests. I will post these later so be sure and check back. Wedding drones are a great idea and we offer one for most of our Vermont Weddings.
The cameo Heather was wearing was from her great grandmother. When she passed away a few years ago, she left the cameo with a note requesting that all the granddaughters wear it on their wedding day.
