Liz + Ted
Liz and Ted had a beautiful autumn wedding at The Quechee Inn and it all started with a lovely pre wedding tea ceremony where the couple met with family members to receive blessings and gifts. "A tea tree cannot be transplanted; it only sprouts and grows from a seed. Thus, people took tea to symbolize loyalty, love, and the expectation of a happily married life." I thought this was a charming and very moving way to start the day and there were more than a few tears during the ceremony including my own.
After the tea ceremony, Liz and Ted had a break before they got ready for the wedding ceremony which was set in the enchanting gardens of the inn. Emma Behrens, the wedding planner was fantastic! Extremely professional and friendly, Emma made the day go like clockwork and always had a smile on her face. It truly was a beautiful day and everyone had a wonderful time.

Weddings At The Quechee Inn, Marshalnd Farms
If you're looking for wedding venues in Vermont, The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm is one of the premier wedding locations in Vermont. The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm is a place that will capture your imagination and your heart.
The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm is also one of my favorite local wedding venues. There are so many beautiful photo locations around the property! With a backdrop of the Ottauquechee River, historic red barns, and lush green meadows, wedding guests enjoy exceptional cuisine and spirits as-well-as friendly, unsurpassed service from the staff. For your destination wedding in late spring, summer and early fall, they offer full-service catering for up to 200 guests for beautiful outdoor receptions in the fully tented brick courtyard.
Your guests can occupy their 25 guest rooms for the weekend and you’ll have the inn completely to yourselves after dinner on Friday through Sunday morning.
Each wedding at the inn is unique. Each is coordinated with care and flexibility to celebrate your special love story. From the picturesque ceremony locations to the thoughtfully prepared food made with local ingredients, Quechee Inn weddings are an experience you’ll wish you could relive again and again.
Built in 1793, the inn was originally the home of Colonel Joseph Marsh, Vermonts first lieutenant governor. Since that time, the historic residence has been expanded to include 22 guest rooms, 3 suites, a fine dining restaurant, and common area for our guests to relax and enjoy. May thru October the inn hosts outdoor tented weddings up to 200 guests on their brick courtyard surrounded by lush green meadows.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Quechee Inn maintains 19th century character and charm while adding modern conveniences. Multi-paned windows offer stunning views out toward Dewey’s Mill Pond, the Ottauquechee River, and the majestic spruce and hardwood trees that tower over the property. Each room and nuance of the inn has its own unique story to tell. In the afternoon, our guests enjoy fresh baked cookies and refreshments and in colder months the wood burning fireplace in our common room making it a great choice in Vermont for destination weddings and elopements.
