Meredith + Anthony
Meredith and Anthony had a beautiful summer wedding at The Inn At Manchester, Manchester Center, VT and the day could not have been more glorious for their wedding photos, ceremony and reception. The sun was out and the heat wave had ended and everyone has a super fun time at this joyful wedding. There was even an ice cream truck that arrived after the dinner and all the guests enjoyed it, especially the children!
We arrived early to take some detail photographs of the wedding dress and the rings and while I photographed those, Gael, my second shooter was photographing the groom's details in his room.

Then it was time to get some getting ready photos of Meredith. She was such a beautiful bride and the bridal suite at The Inn At Manchester has some of the most beautiful natural light for bridal and pre-wedding ceremony photos.
I used my Ice Lights again or the clam shell lighting effect and took these mirrored reflection bridal photos of Meredith.
So last minute adjustments and finishing touches were carried out before the couple went out to the wooded area for their "first look" before their wedding ceremony.
"First Looks" before the wedding ceremony are always a great way to get some super fun photographs and they also allow more time for a "romance session" with just the wedding couple, sans the guests and pressure.
After Meredith and Anthony's "first look" we took about 15 minutes for a quick romance session in the grounds of the beautiful red barn that is always such a lovely backdrop for wedding photographs.
While I was concentrating on the wedding couple, Gael was photographing this beautiful butterfly and actually captured Meredith and Anthony in the background.
We still had some time before Meredith and Anthony went back to their rooms to freshen up before the wedding ceremony so we continued with our "romance session" behind the red barn, back in the wooded area.
Gael then got the groomsmen together for a few more pre-wedding ceremony photographs and I photographed Meredith with her bridal bouquet and took some photos of her laughing with the groom and groomsmen in the background doing some hilarious poses for Gael.
We then got the bridesmaids together and while Gael was still photographing the groom and groomsmen I photographed the bride and her bridesmaids. Then we had a few more minutes to photograph the entire wedding party.
Then Meredith and Anthony went back to their rooms for a short break before the wedding ceremony, while we walked over to the ceremony site and got set up for the wedding procession. The Inn At Manchester has an enchanting ceremony location, nestled in a clearing in the woods with a babbling brook behind the arbor.
During the wedding ceremony, Meredith and Anthony both read vows they had written each other and then there was the exchange of rings.
The wedding couple had a wooden wine box that Anthony had made and this is a lovely wedding ceremony ritual, during the proceedings of the wedding ceremony, a bottle of wine is enclosed into the box. Meredith and Anthony opted to add an extra layer of meaning within the ceremony by including love letters to one another alongside the wine and then designated a specific occasion when the box will be opened, the letters read and the wine drank.
Then "the kiss"! With two photographers covering your wedding you can be sure and capture this loving moment from different perspectives.
After the ceremony the wedding party went to one of the the beautiful lawn areas while the guests gathered for a group photo by the red barn.
These group wedding photos are something we always do when we have weddings at The Inn At Manchester. It is so easy to do as I run up to the bridal suite and photograph the guests and wedding party out the window.
I also got a photograph of Meredith and Anthony from the second story window as they made their way over to the group from the back lawn.
After the group photograph of all the wedding guests, they went to the cocktail party and we walked over to the birch trees to take some family photos and a few more wedding photos of Meredith and Anthony.
After the quick family sessions and a few more wedding photographs, Meredith and Anthony went to join their guests at the cocktail party while we took a few candid photographs and some details of the reception.
Then the wedding reception began with first dances, toasts and dinner. Then there was more dancing before the ice cream truck arrived!
The ice cream truck was such a wonderful wedding reception idea and on this warm Vermont summer, it was the perfect dessert for Meredith and Anthony's wedding reception.
So all and all it was a wonderful wedding day for Meredith and Anthony and as always, The Inn At Manchester was the perfect venue for this beautiful Vermont summer wedding.
